Your Instructor
Leonie Shelley became a Professional Jolly Phonics trainer after seeing first hand how effective the program was in the classroom. After many frustrated attempts to teach Junior Primary students to read and write when she first started her teaching career, Leonie was introduced to Jolly Phonics and has never looked back! It wasn't just the struggling students who immediately benefitted from explicit instruction in Jolly Phonics, more capable students progressed at an astonishing rate and were able to clearly articulate their new-found knowledge of the English language.
Leonie still works with schools across South Australia. She also trains teachers how to use Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar effectively in the classroom and is passionate about ensuring that all students develop lifelong reading skills.
